School Tour & Enrolment

The school currently has an enrolment of approximately 675 students which is almost at capacity. A ‘zone of right’ is currently in place to ensure the access rights of families living within the defined school zone.

School Tours

We hold regular school tour and information sessions, tours run for approxiamately 50 minutes. Bookings are essential as tours are restricted to five families per tour. Please book into selected tour date here.

Enrolments

Colonel Light Gardens Primary School is a popular choice of primary school for zoned families, we also receive many enrolment enquiries from all across Adelaide. Due to the demand for places at our school, and in accordance with our agreements with other local schools, parents are asked to complete a Registration of Interest Form.

Please complete the details on this form to register your interest to enrol your child at Colonel Light Gardens Primary School. This form is not a confirmation of enrolment. Information provided on this form will be considered by our enrolment team. If a place is available, you will be notified of an enrolment offer prior to your child’s anticipated starting date. At this time, you will be given an enrolment form to complete.

Please note: From 2024, Department for Education schools offer two starting dates for Reception children – the beginning of Term 1 and the beginning of Term 3.

If your child turns five years old before 1 May, they will start Reception on the first day of Term 1 that year.

• Students who enrol in the Term 1 intake will complete 4 terms of Reception.

If your child turns five between 1 May and 31 October, they can start school in either Term 3 of the same year or in Term 1 of the following year.

• Students who enrol in the Term 3 intake will complete 6 terms of Reception.
